Why is Cookiedle Different?
Cookiedle is a daily character guessing problem based on the daily guessing style of famous word games. Instead of looking for a secret word, you must type in character names and compare their properties to find a mystery Cookie.
Each prediction is evaluated against five categories:
- Rarity — Tells whether your Cookie is the same rarity as the target.
- Type — Compares the Cookie’s class or battle type.
- Position — This determines whether the Cookie is in the Front, Middle, or Rear position.
- Element – Compares the character’s element attribute, if applicable.
- Release Year – How far your prediction is from the intended release timeframe.
Each daily problem is a 10-guess puzzle, so every guess is crucial. It’s this blend of character knowledge and logical inference that appeals to players.
How to Play Step-by-Step
It’s easy to begin working on the problem, but the trick to completing it quickly is comprehending the feedback.
Select a Cookie
Begin with a Cookie you are familiar with. Type the character's name into the search box until the game recognises your choice.
Type Your Guess
Press Guess to send the Cookie. The game then pits your choice against the mystery person in the five categories it gives.
Read Colour Feedback
The results tell you which parts of your estimate are useful:
Green: Your attribute perfectly matches the unknown Cookie.
Yellow: Your estimate is close, but the characteristic is different.
Grey: The attribute does not match the target.
