DeWordle is like Wordle, but it goes the other way. To get words back, you have to guess what color each square is. Players can narrow down the number of possible answers by using the DeWordle tool.

How to play

You can play a game with DeWordle. Make up patterns, tap them in using the squares with dots, and see how few rows you need to get down to just one word left. But be careful, because it is also possible to enter a set of patterns that don't match any answers. Or, do it the other way around and see how many of the 242 possible patterns you can add without getting a single answer.

How did you make your Wordle? Paste in your Wordle diagram, then click the pencil icon below each line to type in the word you used there. To copy a diagram or link, click the "Share" button below the board.

Find out what your friend thought was the answer! Paste in their Wordle diagram, then click the pencil below the answer row and type in the word for the day. DeWordle will tell you every word that could have gone in each row. If you can't put the day's word into DeWordle, your friend's diagram is a fake!

Make fake Wordle diagrams that work. To enter the word of the day, click the pencil next to the answer row. Then, add the diagram rows you want by tapping the squares with dots to change their color and tapping the "+" to add that row to the board. If DeWordle doesn't say "Matches 0 answers" below the answer row, your diagram is right.

Have fun and good luck!
