Farflung
The geography puzzle game Farflung uses savvy nation selections to travel the globe without leaving your screen. Locate nations on a world map, unravel geographical mysteries, and win rare kilometers for perfect answers.
Farflung: Geography as a Game of Strategy
Farflung is a geography quiz game where you attempt to guess nations based on geographical information including names, continents, history, and boundaries. There are five questions in every expedition, each a map-based answer-picking event based on clues about countries. You only have one guess per question, so you will want to make sure you get it right: correct answers give you between 40 and 100 km, depending on the rarity of the answer, while wrong answers or wrong-timed-out answers just give you nothing.
Understand the Map Before Your First Journey
The dynamic global map is your primary playground. You can see 195 nations, zoom in on areas, and search for a country name. If you have a sense of the answer, click where it is and choose Drop Pin to make a guess.
Each expedition consists of five rounds, and your distance score is based on the rarity of your correct answers. The score levels are as follows:
- Common: 40 km
- Uncommon: 55 km
- Rare: 70 km
- Very Rare: 85 km
- Rarest: 100 km
The best trip has 500 miles and five rarest responses. With that said, you may choose a rare country only if it fits the hint. Treat Well as 0 km for Wrong Answers!
