How to play
By tapping and holding down the keyboard keys that are shown on the screen, players in GIRP can navigate their ascent. A grasp point on the simulated rock wall is represented by each key. Players must carefully press down on some buttons while releasing others to keep their balance to climb properly. The trick is to strike the ideal balance between holding on tight and climbing; release a key without a firm grasp and you risk a dangerous tumble.
The challenge gets harder as players ascend the rock wall because there are fewer ledges, more challenging hold positions, and more pressure to stay balanced. The challenge is further increased by external elements like shifting rocks and gusts of wind, which call for quick reflexes and exact time to conquer.
