Layers
Layers will force you to be smart and to think in patterns and to come up with good wordplay. This daily puzzle rewards players who find hidden words and discover startling correlations between them in four mini-games and a grand Connections challenge.
Layers: Daily Word Puzzle with Secret Links
Layers is a daily word puzzle that packs four mini-games into one bigger word-association problem. The first step is completing LetterLock, Anagram, Crossword, and Word Search puzzles to find a total of four hidden words for you. Once all the words are revealed, they must be separated into four groups of thematically or vocally related words. With 3 guesses before the problem concludes, you'll need to think hard about it.
Four Layered Mini-Games
The basic notion is that you'll need to wait for some responses till you crack their mysteries.
Four puzzle forms assess word skills:
- LetterLock: Unlock a secret word from a scrambled letter puzzle.
- Anagram: Unscramble mixed-up letters into a word.
- Crossword: Use knowledge of words and cross references to arrive at a solution.
- Word Search: Seek out the word from a jumbled box of letters.
The criteria differ a little for each of the puzzles, but every action you complete scores you a piece of the puzzle.
Hints for the Word Connection
Work through the little problems and use the solutions to get a sense of the bigger board, and you'll succeed.
Finish the Four Mini-Games Initially
Anagram, Crossword, Word Search, and LetterLock First Unlocking all 16 hidden words helps you spot connections without insufficient information.
Recognize Strong Links
Scan the whole board for obviously related terms. It shouldn't only be similar-looking terms, but seek for such common types of things as meanings, categories, frequent phrases, and other types of known linkages.
Start with the Amber Group
The colors do include some helpful gradations. Amber is the simplest kind, and if you see an evident relationship, there is a good place to start.
Once that category is out of the way, the other words emerge more easily. Then you may tackle Moss, then Surf, then Void.
Find Multi-Words
There might be some overlap as far as where a term fits, based on its use. Don't utilize a pack to take four submissions all with a common feature.
Layers combines four well-known word puzzles into a single, more difficult task with sixteen words and four hidden links. There's a little bit of everything here, mixing the LetterLock, Anagram, Crossword, and Word Search with the final grouping difficulty, but not a whole lot of rules that are tough to master.
