Size It Up
Size It Up transforms common size comparisons into a quick visual challenge. Resize a target figure next to a reference figure. Lock your estimate and see how close your eye is to the actual measurement.
How Size It Up Turns Scale Into a Puzzle
Size It Up is a visual estimation game that asks players to estimate how big one real-world subject should look next to another. Each round shows you a reference silhouette at its true scale and a second shape that you need to resize until it looks like it has the right proportions. You guess, and the game shows you the actual size and rates your guess on how close it was. Anything from animals and automobiles to landmarks, geographic forms, and any other recognisable object might be the subjects. Every comparison seems different.
Game Modes: Daily Rounds, Categories, and Endless Practice
The game does not have typical character levels but instead uses individual comparison rounds as the primary progression.
Target and Reference Silhouettes
The most significant item on the board is the black reference silhouette, as its size is predetermined. The silhouette you are manipulating is the target silhouette.
You can drag and resize the target using the reference as your visual yardstick. There are also keyboard controls, with arrow keys to move, plus and minus to resize, and Enter to lock in an estimate.
Accuracy Is the True Score Multiplier
The closer your guess, the more points you will get. Current game info awards up to 100 points for a highly correct round, and up to 500 points for a perfect 5-round daily run.
Winning Strategies: Make More Accurate Size Estimates
It's learning to compare proportions, not memorising hundreds of measures, that will make you better at the game.
Start with Ratios, Not Specific Numbers
One of the best suggestions is to consider comparatively. If the goal looks twice the size of the reference, begin with that relationship and refine it.
Helpful questions to ask yourself:
- The goal is about half the size of the reference.
- Is it the same size or near it?
- Should it double or triple?
- Does my comparison match height, length, or span?
- This takes the pressure off remembering an exact measurement.
Make Mental Anchors Out of Known Items
If you cannot easily visualise a subject, relate it to something you comprehend more easily. A bus, a car, a person, or a sports pitch might be a mental anchor.
Size It Up is a fun, fast visual game built on silhouettes, comparisons, categories, and an accuracy score that uses real-world measurements and turns them into a game. Its simple controls are easy to pick up; however, the gap between what you think and what is actually true gives expert players plenty of incentive to keep practicing.
