Squares
Squares is a crossword game where you link letters to construct words. Words get longer and more complicated with each level.
How to play Squares
Players need good vocabulary, observation, and rapid thinking. Form valid words by connecting letters.
Squares' rules are simple but rewarding
- Connect letters on the grid to form words. Sliding across P-L-A-Y produces word play.
- Words can be built up, down, left, right, and diagonally, even in zigzag patterns.
- Words gain one point per letter. Words must be at least four letters and exclude proper nouns, unusual phrases, and vulgarities.
- This combination of strategy, language, and spatial thinking makes every challenge fun and hard.
Features
- Daily Puzzles—New challenges every midnight provide unlimited replayability.
- Rotating the letter grid reveals hidden word patterns from different angles.
- Hints: Get 3–5 free hints per game with the first letter and direction of a hidden word. Sharing with friends unlocks more hints.
- Bonus terms - Slang and obscure terms are included to a bonus list for fun but don't count toward your score.
