UNTRAVL
Play the UNTRAVL game, a daily word association puzzle where each word has a place in a concealed chain, to test your vocabulary and lateral thinking skills.
UNTRAVL: An Everyday Word Connection Test
UNTRAVL is a daily word connection game where you design a logical chain of words that connect two endpoint words. You are given a beginning word, an end word, and a jumbled list of intermediate words to place in a logical sequence. You have to link the words to the previous term using synonyms, antonyms, concepts, related words, puns, and pop culture. You must use every tile once and provide a complete chain that matches the target solution perfectly.
Better Your Word Linking Skills
Easier to solve: If you forget that each tile represents a clue and not separate clues. Instead, think of the words as having some relation, and delete probable placements.
Begin with the Most Restrictive Words
Look for tiles that offer limited connecting possibilities. Odd phrases or ideas are easier to place when they have fewer potential neighbors.
If you start by positioning these limiting terms, your placement options will be restricted.
Identify Easy Synonyms and Antonyms
See whether two words are similar or opposite in meaning. Such linkages may frequently be strong beginning points for creating the chain.
Go Beyond Literal Meanings
Other links include pop culture, popular catchphrases, or intellectual analogies. Try to find a common idea and feeling or relationship between two observations if you can't come up with a link.
Focus on the Ends
Having each of the first and last words means you have a fair amount of context. Consider what tiles in between the first word and the last word might make sense.
UNTRAVL takes known phrases and creates a complex sequence of synonyms, antonyms, pop culture allusions, and unexpected correlations. With scrambled tiles, a unique problem for every day, and 2 set end-points, each game is a chance to flex your gray matter.
